Position Title: Library System Administrator
Location: Bolling AFB
Key Roles:
Candidate will be responsible for the daily maintenance and administration of the integrated library system (Voyager ILS), library website and other information technologies in the library. Additionally, the responsibilities include: provide guidance and expertise on networking activities in the library, coordinate the development and maintenance of the library's web presence; and liaise with external organizations on key library related technologies included in the design of the IC-wide library union catalog.
Necessary Skills:
- Proficiency in UNIX, MS SQL and Oracle
- Demonstrated experience with Ex Libris' Voyager System, the John T. Hughes library's integrated system or equivalent i.e. Dynix, Sirsi, etc.;
- Demonstrated experience with database administration and programming support to commercial database and electronic resources that are provided by the library.
- Strong interpersonal skills that will allow efficient cooperation with a variety of offices throughout the Agency and the Intelligence Community in the information management process;
- Demonstrated experience with system concepts, software and hardware interactions, operating systems, basic networking, data communications, and general library and technology trends;
- Demonstrated experience using HTML and the ability to develop, research, layout, write/edit, material for the library home page and alter current home page based on user feedback, monthly statistics and new acquisitions;
- Demonstrated experience with technology planning and system evaluation leading to successful system migrations or database conversion.
Years of Experience: 3 (min)
Degree Desired: BS Information Systems (Library)
Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance
